Marriage Counseling in Tyler and East Texas
When the two of you keep having the same argument, or have stopped talking altogether, counseling gives you a place to start again.
Request a ConsultationWhat couples come in for
- Communication that turns into arguing, or into silence
- The same fight, over and over, with nothing resolved
- Feeling more like roommates than partners
- Rebuilding trust after infidelity or broken promises
- Stress from children, blended families, money, or in-laws
- Big transitions: a new baby, an empty nest, retirement, illness, or loss
- Reconnecting emotionally and physically
- Deciding, honestly and carefully, what comes next
How marriage counseling works
The first sessions focus on understanding your marriage: its history, what's working, and where things break down. From there, counseling helps you see the patterns that keep repeating, learn to talk about hard things without it becoming a fight, and practice new ways of responding to each other between sessions.
Counseling doesn't take sides. The goal is to help both of you be heard and to give your marriage a fair chance.
Christian marriage counseling
For couples who want it, faith can be part of the work. Stacy Huddleston is a Christian counselor, and when you ask for it, she brings Scripture and your shared faith into sessions alongside proven clinical methods.
If you'd rather keep counseling clinical, that's completely fine. Couples of every background are welcome, and you decide the direction.

Common questions
Do we both have to come?
It helps most when both of you attend, but it isn't required to start. If your spouse isn't ready, you can begin on your own, and many spouses join later.
Is marriage counseling covered by insurance?
It depends on your plan. Some plans cover couples sessions and some don't. The practice can check your benefits and walk you through private pay options.
Do you offer Christian marriage counseling?
Yes, for couples who want it. Faith and Scripture can be part of your sessions, or not, depending on what the two of you prefer.
Can we do counseling online?
Yes. Online sessions are available anywhere in Texas, which helps couples with busy schedules or a long drive.
Is it too late for us?
Many couples wait until things feel very hard before reaching out. Coming in doesn't commit you to any outcome. It gives you a clearer picture of where you stand and what's possible.
How long does marriage counseling take?
It varies. Some couples come for a few months, and others longer. You'll talk about goals and pace together from the start.
